Tatted Key Edging

This edging is surprisingly quick to tat and could be a fun one to play with. I think it would make a neat wedding garter. Just tat it several inches larger than the circumference of the bride’s thigh, finish the tatting by stitching the beginning to the end, then add some ribbon and elastic.

This pattern uses one shuttle and is an experienced beginner pattern due to the heart-shaped ring.

I used Lizbeth Daffodil Medium Color 616 Size 40. The edging is about 1.5 inches (4 cm) tall and each repeat is about 3/4 inches (2 cm) wide when stitched with size 40 thread.
